Starting in 1984 Manawa Telecom, Inc. was formed to offer Cable Television to the greater Manawa area. Cable TV had been around for a while and when the opportunity came to us, we thought it would be a great service to the city of Manawa. In 1990 we expanded our service to the Bear Lake Area.
Manawa Telecom, Inc. was a division of Manawa Telephone Company and in 1993 became a division of Manawa Telecommunications, Inc.
Manawa Telecom Cable TV started with 200 subscribers and rose to just under 700 by 2003. We began with 20 channels and to date has a channel line up of 60 channels with 2 Premium Channels.
On Feb. 1, 2008, Manawa Telecom, Inc. was able to offer Ditigal TV to many of their customers. This allowed for more channels, better picture quality and an on-screen program guide to better serve those looking for an expanded entertainment package. The largest package includes 99 channels plus 49 music channels with premium channels available.
Analog Cable TV is still available with the new digital broadcast signal being converted for subscribers by Manawa Telecom.
